Policies, privacy and agreements

Read the public legal pages, then manage your agreements and data.

Updated

Wavemaker's policies are public. You can read every one without an account. You sign in only to accept, decline or withdraw an agreement, or to act on your data.

Read the policies

Open All policies. It lists two groups.

Agreements, the versioned documents you agree to:

PolicyWhat it covers
Terms of serviceAccounts, credits, your content, sharing, and how disputes are resolved.
PrivacyWhat Wavemaker collects, why it uses it, and the choices you have.
Community guidelinesWhat can be shared publicly, and how it is enforced.
Creator and license termsSelling and licensing what you publish on Wavemaker.

Practices and rights, which explain current practice:

Versions and effective dates

Each agreement page shows Current policy, its version and its effective date. The current edition is version 2026-10-22, effective October 22, 2026. Published versions at the bottom links every earlier edition. An earlier edition is marked "Archived policy. It does not authorize new actions." Each edition has a fixed address, such as /legal/terms/2026-10-22.

Accept or withdraw an agreement

Creating your account records your acceptance of Account policies only. Publishing, sharing outside the workspace and acquiring items each need their own acceptance, which you give on the agreements page; the publish, share and acquire dialogs link to it. To accept, decline or review a decision:

  1. Open Your policy agreements and sign in with your personal account.
  2. Read the documents. Each link opens in a new tab with its version.
  3. Under Agreement for, choose what the decision covers.
  4. Check I've read these documents and agree to them, then select Accept and continue. Or select Decline.

Past decisions appear on the same page, and you can withdraw an acceptance there. A decision applies to you in the workspace you are signed in to, which the page names at the top, so a decision in one workspace doesn't carry to another.

Agreement forWhat needs it
Account policiesYour agreement to the policies as an account holder. It is recorded when you sign up.
Creator publication and sharingPublishing to Discover, and share links that reach people outside the workspace.
Acquiring a free or paid itemGetting an item from Discover, free or paid.

If an action needs an agreement you haven't accepted, or your latest decision was to decline or withdraw, it stops with "Review the current policies at /policies/agreements before this action". Accept it there, then try again. A request that doesn't come from your own personal sign-in in that workspace stops with "Sign in personally and review /policies/agreements before this action".

Declining or withdrawing stops future actions that need that agreement. It doesn't delete your work, undo completed purchases or remove existing obligations. Export, security and recovery stay available.

When a policy changes

A new edition doesn't ask you to accept again: your latest acceptance carries over, and actions record the edition you actually accepted. For a material change to the Terms, Wavemaker gives notice, for example by email or in the app, generally at least 30 days ahead where feasible. Using Wavemaker after the effective date counts as accepting the change. If you don't agree, stop using Wavemaker. You can export your data and close your account. See Your data: export, deletion and privacy settings.

Key points in the Terms

  • Age: you must be at least 13, or 16 in the EU, EEA or UK. Mature content is limited to people 18 or older.
  • Credits: credits belong to the workspace, have no cash value and are charged at the rate in force when work runs. See Credits and Plans and pricing.
  • Refunds: purchases and plan fees are non-refundable except where the law requires.
  • Your work: you are responsible for what you submit and publish. See section 8 of the Terms for ownership of what Wavemaker generates for you.
  • Disputes: the Terms include binding individual arbitration. You can opt out within 30 days of first accepting them by emailing [email protected] with the subject "Arbitration Opt-Out".

The Terms are the binding text. This list is a summary.
