Plans, pricing and what each includes
Compare Pro sizes and credit packs, see what changes when you pay, and upgrade, downgrade or cancel a plan.
Updated
Wavemaker runs on prepaid credits. You can buy credit packs when you need them, or subscribe to Pro, one plan sold in four sizes. Every size includes the agent and every capability.
Start a Pro plan
- Open Usage and credits.
- Select Add credits on the Balance card.
- Choose a plan option. Each option shows its credits and price, and a plan is marked Recurring.
- Select Continue, which shows the price, and pay on Stripe's secure checkout page.
- You return to Wavemaker when checkout finishes.
Check that it worked
- Plan access on Usage and credits lists the plan as active, with the date it runs until.
- Credit history and funding shows a Credits purchased entry for the plan's credits.
- Your Balance includes the new credits.
Credits arrive when Stripe confirms the payment, not when the checkout page closes. Refresh Usage and credits to see them. A workspace can hold one plan at a time: a second plan checkout is refused with "This workspace already has a plan; change its size in the billing portal".
Pro sizes and prices
Pro is one plan sold in four sizes: Pro 49, Pro 99, Pro 249 and Pro 499. Each size can be paid monthly or once a year. The public Pricing page lists every size's current price, its monthly credits and its price per credit, and checkout shows the exact price before you pay. Prices are in US dollars.
What every size includes
- The agent, every model and every capability. Nothing is reserved for a larger size.
- Top-ups at your size's rate. See Top-ups.
- A head start in the shared GPU queue. Its length depends on the size.
Sizes differ only in monthly credits, price per credit and queue priority.
Monthly or annual
A monthly plan grants its credits each month. An annual plan grants the whole year's credits when the payment succeeds. The Pricing page shows each annual price and the credits it grants.
Unused plan credits
- Monthly plans: credits stay usable for one more month after the month they were granted, then expire. At most one month's allowance carries over.
- Annual plans: credits expire at the end of the paid year.
- Packs and top-ups: credits never expire.
Wavemaker spends the credits that expire soonest first, so carried-over plan credits are used before new ones and pack credits are used last.
Top-ups
While a plan is active, Add credits also offers a top-up at your size's rate. You can buy one as often as you need. Top-up credits never expire. A top-up is offered only to a workspace on that size. Without a plan, buy a credit pack instead.
Credit packs
Credit packs are one-time payments. They don't renew and their credits never expire. Choose one from Add credits. The Pricing page lists each pack's credits and price.
What you get without a plan
- Starter credits: a new account gets 131 credits once, labeled "Your first video is on us". They expire 14 days after sign-up.
- Video badge: a video generated before the workspace has paid carries a small Wavemaker icon and "created with wavemaker.io" in a corner. It is burned into the file, and paying later doesn't remove it from earlier videos. Videos made after any payment (a pack or a plan) have no badge. Stills are never badged, and neither is video made on your own provider key.
- API keys and connected apps: starter credits can be spent in the Wavemaker app, but not through an API key or an app you connected, until the workspace has paid.
- 18+ content: the Show 18+ material switch can't be turned on without a paid plan. Payment is how Wavemaker checks that you are 18 or older. The switch only shows 18+ items; making adult work doesn't need a plan. See Account and workspaces.
First-purchase bonus
If the workspace starts its first Pro plan within 14 days of sign-up, it gets 20% more credits for the first month, once. For an annual plan, the bonus is 20% of one month's share of the year's credits. Bonus credits expire with the credits of the payment that earned them.
Invite a friend
Usage and credits shows Invite a friend with your referral link and Copy link. When someone signs up through your link and makes their first payment, you each get 150 credits once that payment has gone 120 days without a refund or dispute. A refund or dispute on their account in that time cancels the reward. One person is rewarded for at most 10 referrals a calendar month, and referring yourself, including through an email alias, earns nothing.
Change, cancel or renew
Plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. Manage the plan in the Stripe billing portal:
- Open Usage and credits.
- Find Workspace billing and select Manage billing.
- Change the size or billing interval, update your payment method, or cancel.
- Return to Wavemaker from the portal.
Workspace billing is shown to workspace owners and admins only. Opening the portal needs a browser session you signed in to yourself. The portal also lists invoices and receipts.
| Change | When it takes effect | Credits |
|---|---|---|
| Upgrade to a larger size | At once, charged pro rata for the rest of the period | You get the difference in monthly credits for the rest of the period at once. Those credits expire at the end of the period. |
| Downgrade to a smaller size | At the end of the current period | Nothing is added or taken back. The new size's allowance starts at renewal. |
| Annual to monthly | At the end of the current period | The new allowance starts at renewal. |
| Cancel | At the end of the current period | Credits already granted stay usable until they expire. |
There is no refund for part of a period. Queue priority and top-up eligibility end when the plan is no longer active.
If a renewal payment fails
A failed payment adds no credits. While the subscription is not in good standing, plan benefits such as queue priority and top-ups are paused. Update the payment method under Manage billing. Credits you already have stay usable until they expire.
Refunds and disputes
Credit purchases and plan fees are non-refundable except where the law requires. Email [email protected] about a payment error or a refund right. If a payment is refunded or disputed, Wavemaker pauses a matching share of the credits it bought until the case is resolved. See Card refunds and disputes.
Close a workspace with a plan
A workspace with an active plan can't be closed until the plan has ended, so a deleted workspace is never billed again. Cancel the plan under Manage billing, wait for the period to end, then close the workspace. Unused credits, purchased ones included, are forfeited when a workspace closes. See Your data: export, deletion and privacy settings.
