Cookies and similar technologies

Last updated: October 6, 2026

This page explains how the Wavemaker application uses cookies and similar storage. It supplements the Privacy Policy. Reading it does not require an account.

What we use

Wavemaker uses strictly necessary cookies and local storage to:

  • Keep you signed in after you authenticate
  • Bind a browser session to the selected workspace
  • Protect sign-in, OAuth consent and other state-changing requests from cross-site forgery
  • Remember feature choices you make in the product, such as a saved closure receipt in this browser

These technologies are required to operate the signed-in product. The application does not offer a “reject necessary cookies” control, because signing in and using those features cannot work without them.

Analytics

The application can enable Google Tag Manager and a configured Google Analytics measurement ID only on the production origin, and only when that production configuration is present. Staging and local installs do not enable that configuration.

The September 24, 2026 Privacy Policy states that the application release does not install the legacy marketing site’s Google Tag Manager or Snitcher tags. Operational logs and strictly necessary authentication storage remain in use on every environment. This page describes the current application configuration: production analytics, when enabled, is separate from those legacy marketing tags.

What we do not use here

This application does not use advertising cookies, cross-site behavioral advertising pixels, or the legacy marketing site’s Snitcher tracker. Optional notification preferences are stored as account settings. They are not policy agreements and they are not advertising consent.

Your choices

  • You can block or delete cookies in your browser. If you block necessary cookies, sign-in and account actions will fail.
  • You can sign out, which ends the current session cookie.
  • You can clear this site’s data to remove local feature storage, including a saved closure receipt.
  • Privacy rights that do not depend on cookies are described at Export and privacy rights.
