Publish your work and manage listings
Publish an exact version from a conversation to Discover, choose its license and rating, manage or withdraw it, and read your creator earnings page.
Updated
Publish a version from a conversation
- Open the conversation whose work you want to share. If it has unsaved changes, save them first.
- Open the conversation menu (•••) and choose Publish a version. Outside the Chat view, the Share button in the header opens the same page.
- On Details, write a Description of what someone can make with it. Choose a Category, a Content rating and a License, and add tags separated by commas.
- Under Selected previews and examples, tick the images from this conversation that should appear on the listing. The first one you tick becomes the preview. Choose Continue.
- On Audience and price, leave Listing price (USD) at
0.00. Tick I own or have permission to share the source and preview under this license. Choose Review publication. - On Review, check the listing name, price, category, license, rating, audience and number of examples. Choose Publish version.
- The Receipt step says the version of your title is live in Community. Choose Open listing to see it.
The page shows How it appears in Discover beside the form and updates it as you type. Nothing is published by editing or reviewing the draft. Only Publish version makes it public.
- Details
Describe it and choose category, rating and license.
- Audience and price
Confirm your sharing rights.
- Review
Check the listing exactly as it will appear.
- Receipt
The exact version is live in Discover.
Check that it worked
- Choose Open listing on the receipt, or open the version from Library › My published.
- Open Discover and sort by Newest. Your listing appears with its preview, version and price, and · 18+ if it is rated 18+.
- Open your creator profile's Published tab. If your workspace has no public creator profile, the listing can show Creator not recorded instead of your name. See Your creator profile.
Your working project stays private. Only the published version, its listing and the previews and examples you chose become public.
What you can publish
Publish a version packages the conversation's method and its files as the next numbered version of that item. Each listing has one category.
| Category | Use it for |
|---|---|
| Production | A whole production method. This is the default. |
| Flow graph | A reusable graph. |
| Style | A visual style. |
| LoRA | Trained weights. |
| Character | A character. |
| Voice | A voice. |
Generating, saving to Library and downloading never publish anything. To group published items, make a public collection. See Profiles, follows, comments and reports.
Listing fields and limits
| Field | Rules |
|---|---|
| Description | 10 to 3,000 characters. Required. |
| Category | One of the six categories above. Default Production. |
| Content rating | General or 18+ only. Default General. |
| License | CC0-1.0, CC-BY-4.0 or CC-BY-NC-4.0. Default CC-BY-4.0. |
| Tags | Up to 8 tags, each 1 to 40 characters. |
| Preview | One image. The first example you tick, or an upload under Or upload a preview (PNG, JPEG or WebP). It must be under 20 MiB and is resized to fit 1600 pixels. |
| Examples | Up to 8 in total. Upload more under Example gallery (up to 8 files): PNG, JPEG, WebP, MP4, WebM, MP3, WAV, OGG or FLAC. |
| Rights | You must tick the rights box. Wavemaker records your declaration; it does not certify your rights. |
The upload fields are inside Included source files and exact references on the Details step.
Content rating and 18+
To rate a listing 18+ only, your own Show 18+ material setting must be on. Otherwise saving fails with "Enable 18+ material in your personal settings first". Wavemaker also rates a listing 18+ when its name, tags or declared ratings mark it as adult, even if you chose General. An 18+ listing is hidden from visitors and from anyone who has not turned 18+ material on. See Browse Discover and the community without signing in.
Prices and selling
Paid listings are not available yet, so every listing is free today. The Listing price (USD) field accepts 0 to 10,000 dollars, but a price above 0.00 is refused when you publish, with "Complete Stripe onboarding and set a price of at least $0.50". The refusal happens before your version becomes public; the refused attempt stays private. Set the price to 0.00 and publish again.
Credit-priced listings are not available yet either. No one can be charged for your listing, and no earnings are recorded for free acquisitions.
Before your first publication
- Sign in with your personal account. Your sign-in needs publish access to the workspace.
- Accept the publication agreement. Open Policy agreements, choose Creator publication and sharing under Agreement for, tick the box and choose Accept and continue. Without it, publishing stops with "Review the current policies at /policies/agreements before this action".
- Read the Community guidelines and the Creator and license terms.
There is no staff review before a listing goes live. Wavemaker checks your agreement, moderation restrictions and removed files when you publish, and anyone can report a public listing afterward.
Publish from a method card
When a conversation produces a method card, you can publish it with a review step that lists findings before anything goes live.
- On the method card, choose Review publication.
- In Publication draft, fill in Description, Category, License, Content rating, tags, an optional Preview SHA-256 and Example SHA-256 values, Audience and Price (USD). Tick I confirm redistribution rights.
- If an earlier version exists, tick Compare exact prior version to review the two together.
- Choose Review exact candidate. The Review publication dialog lists the included source files, dependencies, selected media and findings.
- Choose Publish exact version. With Audience set to Private listing, the button reads Save exact private listing.
Choose Keep draft to save without publishing, or Edit content in chat to change the work itself. The dialog lists each finding by code under Review findings. Publish exact version stays disabled while any finding asks you to revise or re-read.
| Finding | What to do |
|---|---|
rights_declaration_required | Tick the rights box. |
listing_revision_changed | The listing changed elsewhere. Review again. |
paid_minimum | A price between $0.01 and $0.49 is not allowed. Set 0.00. |
seller_check_required | A price above zero is checked at publish time and is refused today. Set 0.00. |
package_revoked | The version was revoked. Publish a new version. |
source_disclosure | A file in the source was flagged as a possible disclosure of private material. Revise the work in chat. |
preview_invalid | The preview is not an image, or is over 20 MiB. Choose another. |
media_unavailable | A chosen preview or example is missing. Remove it or choose another. |
media_measurement_required | The file is checked when you publish. No action is needed. |
The draft records that its review is a declaration, not a privacy or legal certification. Check the included source files yourself before you publish.
If the publish outcome is unknown
If the connection drops after Publish exact version, the card shows Publication outcome unknown. Choose Read current availability to see the listing's current state, or Retry original publication. A retry sends the same request for the same version, so it never publishes twice. When it succeeds, the card becomes a Publication receipt, with Retrieve original receipt to show the receipt again.
Manage a published version
How you change a version's availability depends on where you published it.
- From a method card: the conversation keeps a Publication receipt card for that version. Choose Manage price and availability on it to open the Manage exact listing dialog, described below.
- From the Publish a version page: Manage price and availability on the receipt opens the item page, which has no availability or unpublish control. To unpublish that version, use Contact support on the item page, or call
community.listings.unpublishthrough the API.
The Manage exact listing dialog changes listing metadata only.
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Listing availability and Set exact availability | Community lists the version in Discover. Private removes it from Discover and public pages. |
| Withdraw exact version | Unpublishes the version. |
| Listing price (USD) and Set exact price | Only 0.00 is accepted today. |
When you unpublish, the version leaves Discover and its public page shows Content unavailable. People who already added it to their Library keep access to that version. Your publication receipt stays as a record.
To change the work itself, make the change in the conversation and publish again. That creates the next version. Earlier versions, their receipts and the versions people already added are not changed. People who follow your creator profile get an inbox notice when you publish or update a public item. See Profiles, follows, comments and reports.
You can also change availability with the community.listings.visibility and community.listings.unpublish operations through the API. See API reference.
Creator earnings
Creator earnings (/app/seller), under Credits and sales in Settings, shows what is recorded for your workspace's listings.
| Card | What it shows today |
|---|---|
| Stripe payout account | Not connected. Set up payouts answers "Marketplace payments are moving to credit billing" and sets nothing up. |
| Creator earnings | No earnings, because paid sales are not available yet. |
| Sales | No sales yet. |
| Credit-priced sales | No credit-priced sales. |
| Discovery and reuse | Actions on your public items in the last 30 days, by source: Selections, Free acquisitions, Credit acquisitions and Conversation references. |
Discovery counts use the last signed-in selection of an exact version by the same person and workspace within seven days. Manage listings opens Library › My published.
Your creator profile
Your listings are attributed to your workspace's creator profile. Workspace owners and admins with write access edit it under Settings › Workspace › Creator profile (/app/settings/workspace-profile). Turn on Make my creator profile public to give your listings a name, handle and page at /creators/your-handle. See Profiles, follows, comments and reports.
If something goes wrong
| What you see | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| "Save your project before publishing." | The conversation has unsaved changes. | Save, then choose Publish a version again. |
| "Confirm your sharing rights." | The rights box is not ticked. | Tick it on Audience and price. |
| "Use whole USD cents." | The price has more than two decimal places. | Enter 0.00. |
| "Complete Stripe onboarding and set a price of at least $0.50" | The price is above zero. | Set the price to 0.00. |
| "Enable 18+ material in your personal settings first" | The listing is rated 18+ and your setting is off. | Turn on Show 18+ material, or rate it General if that is accurate. |
| "Review the current policies at /policies/agreements before this action" | The publication agreement is missing. | Accept Creator publication and sharing. |
| "This target has an active moderation restriction; inspect its case or appeal before publishing" | A moderator restricted this item. | Open Reports and appeals to see the case or appeal. |
| "This file was removed after a legal or safety request and cannot be uploaded or published" | A preview, example or the source matches removed content. | Remove that file from the listing. |
| "Listing changed elsewhere; reload first" | Someone edited the listing at the same time. | Reload and review again. |
None of these failures makes the version public, and publishing never spends credits.
