Library: find, organize and reuse your work
Bring an exact Library item into a new production.
Updated
Reuse an item in a new message
- Open My library at /app/library.
- Select the items you want. Click a tile to select it; selections stay while you change views, search or open another page of results.
- Choose Use in a conversation (it reads Use 3 in a conversation when three items are selected).
- In Choose a conversation, pick New chat or an existing conversation, then choose Review 3 selected.
- In the picker, check each item's version and give it a purpose, such as
productorhero_character. Each selected item needs a different purpose. - Choose Add to conversation (or Start chat with 3 for a new chat). The items join your draft as exact references; your typed brief is not replaced.
- Say in the brief what each item is for, then send.
From the composer you can do the same thing with Add from Library. On a finished result in a conversation, Use in chat adds that exact original as a reference for your next message.
Use the product reference for the bottle's shape and label, and the hero_character reference for the woman's face and hair. Make a 15-second vertical ad of her opening the bottle on a sunny balcony.Check that it worked
- The references appear on your draft before you send. Remove any you did not mean to add.
- After you send, the agent's reply names the files it used. If it built stills from your references, look at each still at full size before asking for video.
If Use in a conversation is unavailable, your access to this workspace is read-only. Library shows "Read-only access: you can browse and inspect exact items. Adding references to a conversation requires write access." Ask a workspace owner for write access.
What the Library holds
Everything your workspace makes or collects lands in My library:
- Images, video, audio and documents made in conversations, grouped by the conversation that made them.
- Files you uploaded as references.
- Authored assets: reusable identities, such as a character, place, product or brand, saved with a personal account.
- Voices, styles, worlds and other saved kinds.
- Trained weights registered in this workspace.
- Items you added from Discover, with their receipts and terms.
- Collections you made, listings you saved and packages you published.
Work made outside a conversation, for example from the CLI, an MCP client or an import, appears in a group called Other creations.
Views
The tabs across the top filter by how an item came to you. Each shows a count.
| View | What it shows |
|---|---|
| All items | Everything you can see in this workspace. |
| Authored assets | Reusable identities saved with a personal account. Images and clips made in conversations stay in All items. |
| Acquired | Exact versions you added from Discover, with their terms. |
| Collections | Collections of exact items you organized together. |
| Saved | Listings you saved for later. Nothing is acquired until you choose to. |
| Shared | Originals you shared or received. |
| My published | Packages you published or acquired, such as methods, styles and graphs. |
Saved, Shared and My published are under More views.
All items and Authored assets can be arranged two ways: By conversation (one group per conversation, the default) or Item list (one grid). Open a group to see everything that conversation made, with Open conversation to jump back to it and Select all on this page.
Find an item
- Search library searches the current view. Searches are up to 256 characters.
- Type filters by kind: Brand, Character, Object, Place, Voice, Image, Video, Audio, Document, Style, Trained weights, Graph, Fragment, Recipe, Collection, World or Unknown. Counts show beside each.
- Source filters by where the item lives: Asset, Model, Package, Artifact or Collection.
- Order sorts by Newest first or Title A–Z.
- Labels shows items that carry every label you pick, up to 10 at once.
- Filters opens more fields: Workspace name, Creator handle, License, Source download (Any, Available or Unavailable), Recorded from and Recorded through. Choose Apply.
Applied filters show as chips; remove one with its ×, or choose Clear filters. Items without a recorded date are hidden by date filters. A license label alone doesn't establish usage rights; acquired items match on the license you accepted.
Results show 24 per page. If your Library changes while you browse, Wavemaker keeps what is on screen and shows "Your Library changed while you were browsing." Choose Restart this view to see updated items and counts.
What the badges and warnings mean
Each tile shows one provenance word: Created, Acquired, Saved, Shared or Published. A warning strip means something is wrong with the exact version:
| Warning | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Exact version unavailable | That version is no longer retained. |
| Source file missing | The item's file is gone from storage. |
| 3 unavailable collection members | A collection includes members you can no longer use. |
Upload references
- Choose Upload references on My library, or on Uploaded files & assets.
- Drop files on the box, or choose Choose files. You can add several at once.
- Each file shows its own progress row: Uploading…, then Done, or the reason it failed.
- Choose Done to close the dialog.
Uploads go to your private workspace. The dialog is meant for images, audio and source documents. Each file in the web app must be 2 GB or smaller; a larger file fails with "Files must be 2 GB or smaller." A workspace can also have a storage limit; an upload that would pass it is refused. You can also upload straight from the composer with Upload files, or by dropping files on the brief.
A message can carry at most 40 files, counting your uploads, the files of the Library items you chose and any video or logo a watermark adds. The picker holds up to 100 references, but a message over 40 files is refused with "A message carries at most 40 files; choose fewer Library items".
Organize with labels, names and collections
Select items, then use the selection bar at the bottom of the page.
- Add label and Remove label: labels are shared across the workspace. Start a label with
client:orcampaign:to group work for one client or campaign, for exampleclient:bloomorcampaign:spring. An item can carry up to 50 labels. - Name a client or campaign… in the Labels menu gives a
client:orcampaign:label a display name. - Rename (one item at a time) sets a display name, up to 200 characters. The name shows in your Library only; the file itself does not change. Leave it empty to restore the original title.
- Save to collection on a result or an item page puts the item in a collection. On a result it creates a private collection with that item. Collection names are up to 150 characters.
Manage collections from Library tools › Manage collections: create one, choose its members, reorder them, and set the audience to This workspace or Public. A public collection can only hold packages that are public in their own right. Archiving a collection keeps its retained versions and original sources.
Organizing never changes an item's content. Labels and names are metadata on the exact item.
Trash and restore
- Select items and choose Move to Trash.
- A message confirms the move, with Undo.
- To get an item back, choose Trash beside the filters, select it, and choose Restore. Back to Library returns to your normal view.
A trashed item leaves every Library view and the Library picker, so it can't be chosen for a new message until you restore it. If some items in a selection could not be changed, the message says how many, for example "Moved to Trash: 4 of 5. 1 could not be changed."
Library tools
Library tools (top right of My library) gathers the pages behind the Library:
| Group | Tool | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Export and sharing | Export selected originals | Opens Exports to build a ZIP of exact originals. See Download results. |
| Export and sharing | Links & private reviews | Every link you've shared and its comments. See Share your work. |
| Export and sharing | Shared originals | Originals you shared with, or received from, another workspace. |
| Files | Uploaded files & assets | Everything you uploaded, with size and a Download button, plus private assets with Inspect asset. |
| Files | Manage collections | Create, reorder and archive collections. |
| Files | Brand kits | Logos, colours, fonts and voice for your brands. See Brand kits and watermarks. |
| Acquisitions | Purchases | Purchased creations and their licenses, with Check payment status for pending ones. |
| Acquisitions | Acquisition receipts | Proof of each acquisition and its terms, 25 per page. |
| Acquisitions | Saved listings | Listings you saved in Discover; unsave in place, with Undo. |
| Acquisitions | Owned package versions | Exact versions of packages you own. |
| Models | Trained weights | Registered weights, each Ready when its weights file is present or Not ready. See Training. |
Exact versions
Library references are exact. When you choose an item, the message uses that version, and a later version never replaces it silently. The picker shows each item's version (or original for a file). A saved graph or method can still need particular model weights, custom nodes or input files; see Graphs.
If something goes wrong
- "Access could not be checked" with Check access again: Wavemaker could not confirm your session. Choose it again, or sign in.
- "Your session changed. Reload to open the current workspace." You switched workspace or account in another tab. Reload the page.
- "Your Library could not be loaded. Your saved results are still available in their conversations." Choose Open conversations to reach your work while the Library is unavailable.
- "The Library item chosen for … is unavailable" when you send: the item was trashed, removed, or is hidden by your content settings. Remove it from the draft or choose another version. Nothing runs and nothing is charged until the message is accepted.
