When to use it

  • Native FFmpeg crop/trim with no rescale and copied audio, or Wan 2.1 VACE expansion of moving footage (widen a vertical clip to 16:9, or the reverse) with a declared changed-pixel mask, restored source pixels and source audio. Clips over 81 frames are covered by overlapping passes, each conditioned on the previous pass's delivered frames. check-expansion measures any widened video, including one made elsewhere, for frozen or discontinuous bands.

What you get

  • A creative method with its instructions and supporting source files.

Setup and requirements

  • Follow the included guide to bind your inputs and select the appropriate runtime.

Things to know

  • Executed Sept 26 on one clip: centred scene-first outpaint accepted; earlier variants duplicated the shot in a band, which check-outpaint now rejects.
  • Sept 28: one 160-frame drone shot stitched from three passes passed check-outpaint and join review at 480p and 720p; other camera moves and longer shots are unmeasured.
  • Scale-fit downsamples the source to the canvas; the restored pixels are the fitted pixels.
  • Trimmed crops re-encode the audio window; only untrimmed crops copy the audio stream bytes.

Source licenses and model terms continue to apply. Check runtime availability before generation.
