The Missing Man
A short black-and-white noir scene with hard light, venetian-blind shadows, rain and terse hard-boiled narration.
Film noir is black and white with deep shadow and one hard light source: blinds that stripe a face, rain on the glass, smoke under a desk lamp. A world-weary narrator tells you what the picture won't. It suits mysteries, trailers, parody and moody brand stories, and it works best as a setup, a clue and a twist. Here a detective is paid to find a man, and the photograph in the envelope turns out to be his own face.
To make your own, describe the character, the setting and the twist, and write or ask for the narration. Wavemaker designs the character and the location first, then builds every keyframe from those plates so the face and wardrobe match across shots. MiniMax H3 animates each keyframe with its own rain and street sound. A narrator voice is designed for the role and auditioned on the real lines, and each line is checked by transcription. The picture is graded fully to monochrome and the jazz bed ducks under the voice. The download includes the plates, the keyframes, the narration script, the video graphs and the voice and music requests.
