Last Skate, on tape
A finished music video given a worn videotape look (colour bleed, scanlines and grain) while its title and song stay exactly as they were.
An analog look makes new footage feel like it came off an old tape: colour smears sideways off edges, every other line is darker and grain sits over everything. It suits period pieces, music videos, retro ads and nostalgic social posts. It's a finishing pass on video you already have, so nothing is regenerated. The same settings and seed always give the same result, and you can protect titles, logos or captions so they stay pixel-exact. Here the Last Skate at the Starlite music video, set in a 1970s roller rink, gets the treatment while its title card and song are left untouched.
To make your own, bring a finished video and say how heavy the look should be and what must not change. Wavemaker checks the file against the method's limits, treats it frame by frame, restores the protected areas from the original, and verifies that they and the audio are unchanged. The look is strongest full-screen; at small sizes it reads mostly as a darker, softer, grainier picture. The download includes before-and-after sheets at half size and at full resolution, plus one frame as a halftone print.
